Students and Environmental Commission Celebrate Earth Day

On Friday, April 20, Mansfield Elementary School celebrated Earth Day. As part of the day's events the Environmental Commission once again sponsored the second-grade recycling contest in which the students were invited to create "Goods From Garbage." Environmental Commission members judged the entries and the winners were chosen based on creativity, imaginative, most useful, and of course the number of recyclable items used. Photos show some of the participants with their entries attending the May 10 meeting of the Environmental Commission where the second graders explained and demonstrated their entries.
