Tax Bills Delayed and Due Date to be Extended

Attention Mansfield Township residents, tax bills for the third quarter have been delayed due to recently passed state laws. The laws require school districts with a surplus over three percent to use the excess to lower taxes and any homeland security money municipalities receive to be used for the same purpose. Once the tax rate is recertified by the county, tax bills will be promptly mailed. There will be a 25-day grace period from the date of mailing before taxes will be due.
