Extended Hours Begin July 3

The township’s administrative offices will be extending their hours beginning July 3 and a summer clean-up will be offered to residents on July 15.
Most of the township administrative offices will be open from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday. The construction office will be open those same hours from Monday to Thursday. The Mansfield Township Municipal Court and the Municipal Court of the Township of Washington which both operate out of the Mansfield Municipal Building will be open from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.
“I like to encourage open dialogue between the employees and the Township Committee and this idea was an employee initiative fully embraced by the committee at our May 24 meeting,” Mayor Joseph Watters explained. “Thanks to more efficient scheduling we are able to extend the hours we are open to the public without increasing costs or employees. This was done through the sharing of employees between certain departments and staggered scheduling.”
