Township and School Sign Shared Services Agreement

Mayor Joseph Watters and Board of Education President Jeffrey Stabile signed an agreement to share information technology services at the board's Wednesday meeting. The parties agreed to provide mutual off-site storage for each other's electronic records and also to share the services of an information media specialist. The township will reimburse the school for a portion of the cost of its information media specialist so the agreement costs the taxpayer nothing.
Since the township will not have to hire its own specialist, additional cost are avoided. The parties will also be applying for a state shared services grant for additonal computer equipment to improve electronic records protection.
