Mansfield, NJ Friends with EnglandRobert Smith, who organized the production of Mansfield's 250th Anniversary Book, presented the Township Committee with a proclamation and crest of the Mansfield District Council of England. While doing research for the book, Smith learned of a Mansfield Woodhouse in England, the forebearer of Mansfield-Woodhouse in New Jersey. In New Jersey, Mansfield-Woodhouse became Mansfield Township; in England Woodhouse is still part of the Mansfield District.
