Tax Collector

The Collector’s duties range from preparing and mailing the tax bills, aiding residents with rebate deduction forms, preparing certified property lists, tax searches and other related and non-related functions. Other duties may include coordinating communications between citizens, representatives of the Governing Body, County and State Government as well as the private sector.

Office Hours

8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Tax Office will be open election day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

2007 TAX RATE: $2.78 PER $100 OF ASSESSED VALUE

*includes, municipal, open space, school and county taxes

Important Dates

Property tax bills are mailed every summer.
Taxes are due quarterly on Aug. 1, Nov. 1, Feb. 1 and May 1.
There is a 10 (ten) day grace period with each quarter.

The 2007 final and 2008 preliminary tax bills will be mailed out the week of July 23. The grace period for third quarter taxes will be extended to August 20. Interest on delinquent payments for the third quarter received after August 20 will revert to August 1.
