NOTICE FROM THE TAX OFFICE: revised 7/26/11
Please be advised that the 2011 Final/2012 Preliminary Tax Bills will be mailed by August 1, 2011. The grace period will be extended to August 30, 2011. Payments received after August 30, 2011 will be considered delinquent and interest will revert to August 1, 2011.

The Collector’s duties range from preparing and mailing the tax bills, aiding residents with rebate deduction forms, preparing certified property lists, tax searches and other related and non-related functions. Other duties may include coordinating communications between citizens, representatives of the Governing Body, County and State Government as well as the private sector.

Office Hours

8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Tax Office will be open election day from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

We now have an Overnight drop box for tax payments located on the building to the right of the front door. No cash please. Payments will be posted on the following business day.

2010 TAX RATE: $3.031 PER $100 OF ASSESSED VALUE

*includes, municipal, open space, school and county taxes

Important Dates

Property tax bills are mailed every summer.
Taxes are due quarterly on Aug. 1, Nov. 1, Feb. 1 and May 1.
There is a 10 (ten) day grace period with each quarter.

Tax Bills have been mailed out. The third quarter taxes grace period has been extended to 9/3/2010. Interest on late payments will revert to 8/1/2010..
