Recreation Committee
About Us
The Mansfield Township Recreation Committee is an all-volunteer board that runs youth programs for basketball, cheerleading, field hockey, football, soccer, and softball.
Our duties include the purchasing and distribution of equipment, uniforms and other supplies, registration, composition of teams, scheduling (in coordination with leagues), preparation of fields, and selection and certification of coaches. Soccer is offered in the spring and fall, softball is played in the spring, field hockey, cheerleading and football take place in the fall, and basketball takes place in the winter.
In addition to these responsibilities, the committee oversees the development of existing park facilities including the newly developed 128-acre park on Port Murray Road. Volunteers are welcomed for board activities as well as coaching positions.
